Vitthal Vitthal Vitthala
Today is Ashada Shukla Ekadashi.

Every year, on Ashada Shukla Ekadashi, lakhs of Varkaris (followers of varkari sampradaya) from different parts of Maharashtra and also other states walk to Pandarpur to see their beloved Panduranga Vittala.
This year, due to the prevailing situation, there's a curfew in place.
A news article says that the Government has allowed 20 Varkaris and 9 palanquins carrying the divine padukas of Sant Gyaneswar and Sant Tukaram to be carried in a procession.
A limited number of people will open the temple and perform the puja.

What's happening now is Sri Vittal's will. ππΌππΌ
The heart feels heavy but is also thankful for the symbolic celebrations that are being conducted in all our Maha kshetras,be it Puri or Pandarpur.
This is a bittersweet moment.
Just like the time when Sri Krishna disappeared during rasa lila and the Gopikas cried, looked for him and found him. ππΌ
What's the need to test his beloved bhakthas this way?
This seems a bit on the "too much" side. π’
If he wants tears of love from his bhakthas, there would be plenty of that today.
"Azhudhal unnaip peralaame" (By shedding copious tears, we can attain you!) sings the Siva bhaktha Sri Manickavasakar.
It seems that the upside is , he would come running to his bhakthas sooner.!
Varkaris (but for a very few) won't be able to see their beloved Vithoba at his temple this year.
But, hands on his waist, *he would be waiting outside the houses of each one of them today!*
That's a lot of work for you, O Vitthala, but it's your will. πππΌ
Did any of us ask for this? π
Vitthal Vitthal Jai Hari Vitthala. ππΌππΌ
*One Bharat ;One Atma*
