This Swami needs no introduction but it's worth remembering now, that, for the first time in a hundred years, his temple is not open for 22 hours everyday.
On ordinary days, about 75 K to one lakh devotees visit him everyday and his temple is open almost until 1 pm in the night...
We have heard of a Krishna temple in Kerala that closes just for an hour everyday but that's the rule in that temple.
A very special case, to be precise.
Temples built as per agama shastra ( or Tantra shastra, as in Parasurama kshetra) have to be maintained /operated as per the same shastra.
Thousands of people may visit everyday but the fact remains that the Swami at Tirupati has had no rest since years nor are the unseen celestials given their rightful share of time to worship him after the humans leave for the day...
*Now he's in and we are all out.* π’
His sevaks do the regular pujas and maintain the temple as it's happening in other temples all over Bharat now. We are indebted to them for the service.
This post is not for the nastiks who ask "Does God sleep?"
This is for the bhakthas who sing "Jo Achutananda jo jo Mukunda" so that he can sleep.
This Swami at Tirupati is in - charge of the family - files of lakhs of people in Tamilnadu who have no idea of who their Kula devata is!
Even those who eventually find out and visit their own Kula devata , keep going back to see their beloved Govinda!
Who can resist that divine charm?
That one standing there on top of that hill is a giant magnet who steals people's hearts by attracting them.! π
No one's complaining!
The current lock down may be Ma Vagulamalika's ( Ma Yashoda in Kaliyuga) plan to ensure her son gets some well- needed rest. π
All will be fine by his grace and my pranams to the first batch of bhakthas who are going to see him after the lock down. ππΌππΌ
We hope and pray temple timings see some change after lock down so that the temple isn't kept open beyond late night hours.
Whatever happens, it'll be *his* wish.
Govinda Govinda Govinda ππΌππΌ
